AG1 Thoughts on 2015 Recruiting Class

Postby ALPHAGRIZ1 » Wed Feb 04, 2015 1:41 pm

My favorite player that signed to day is Dallas Hart. He has great size and footwork for a guy his size. (6'5" 295lbs) Dallas needs to get in the weight room and improve his strength but the sky is the limit for that guy. He has to potential to be one of the best tackles we have ever had at UM. He seems to play angry, is very athletic and if he develops more strength he will be hard to deal with in the BSC.

Justin Calhoun can start at UM in 3 different positions. PR, WR and CB. He is sudden and even playing against California talent he runs away from defenders. I think he is a better WR but he has speed to be successful at any of the 3 positions. Small guy (5'11" 160lbs) but has game changer written all over him.

Angel Villanueva has great size (6'5" 310lbs) for a high school player he has great hands and pretty good footwork. It will be interesting to see Germer develop him and Hart, these two players could get us back to having a dominant OL again. The potential is there, lets see what they do with it.

Getting Montana players Sims, Ryan, Daum, Bingham, Sandry is a good start to getting MONTANA football back to where it needs to be.

The cats have been put back in their place for the 2nd time this year. #youareLOLmontanastate

Forgot, I like the size Markell Sanders brings us at CB as well.

Now we just need a QB for this season, (let Pflug redshirt) and the next 5 years could be very interesting.

Good write-up Alpha. The talent and speed that the Griz have at WR this year could be scary. I don't know how Stitt will develop his lines (as in hockey lines) as to which receivers will play alongside each other but stretching the defense could be a huge advantage. If these kids on the O-Line can gel with Germer this offense could be something. With the Calhoun at RB and Favors and Counts the Griz could be able to have a 1 -2 punch every play even after substituting players. This will be a fun year

Will Calhoun be a good RB at UM? Probabaly

Will his brother be the one that we talk about years to come and have a stellar career at any of 3 positions? (WR,CB, PR) Absolutley

It is amazing that people are talking about the Calhoun brothers and mentioning the wrong one as the end all be all. Justin is decisively more explosive and his suddeness is unlike most players in the BSC. If he redshirts and gets an honest chance to play he will be a game breaker.
